SimCity is Back!

I have always been a huge SimCity fan and played every single version religiously up until SimCity 4, which is the undoubtedly the greatest city building game in existence, still enjoyed and modded by hundreds of thousands of players. That's the one that made EA think that the gameplay got too complicated and that people were basically too dumb to figure it out, so for the next installment of the series they wanted something easier and hired a 3rd party developer to throw it together. UFO: Enemy Unknown Gets A Remake

It's Christmas all over again! Firaxis Games (Civilization, Pirates) just announced that they are working on a faithful remake of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, one of the best strategy games of all time, in which you command a global defense force against armies of nasty aliens while trying not to lose funding from a coalition of countries who demand immediate results.

Ni No Kuni

Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli, the award winning Japanese studio well known for its beautiful animated movies and captivating stories (My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away) teamed up with game developer Level 5 to surprise Playstation 3 users with a brand new RPG game called Ni No Kuni (The Another World), the like of which they have never seen before.
